Gay Muhammad Day
Well, I wasn’t able to participate in “Draw Muhammad Day” this year. Too much life stuff going on. Given that I have the artistic ability of an amoeba, the world will now be spared my feeble attempt at art.

In the western world, various artists have made gay Jesus exhibits. Maybe Jesus and Muhammad can hook up sometime. Maybe a night of really good gay sex can end fourteen hundred years of religious strife between christianity and islam.

Also: I was wondering where your blog's name came from. A friend suggested the Allegory of the Cave, but Neo-Platonism has become merged with Church doctrine so I doubt it.

The name mostly came from the domain being available, but a connection to Platonic allegories would definitely sound much more intellectual.
But, you are correct. Neo-Platonism was heavily merged into christianity through early gnosticism. Plus, the idealism espoused by Plato can easily lead to absolutism. When it is combined with a gnostic viewpoint that denigrates the physical world in preference for some higher spiritual realm, people tend to suffer. So, yeah, I'm not much of a fan of the whole Neo-Platonism thing.
